With over two decades of development and 8 evolutions Diamante has become what it is today: the most Basso bike of all.
**Ride Perfected: Stable responsive light and playful.** the Diamante is a versatile road racing bike designed to thrive on the most challenging ups and downs. A geometry that has been refined over the decades thanks to the kilometres travelled and the expertise in the manual processing of carbon capable of achieving absolute performance through cutting-edge technological solutions. The result is an intense and engaging riding experience ready to excite.
**Designed to Dominate the Climbs:** today Diamante confirms its vocation for climbs and descents. Careful engineering work has made it possible to further reduce the weight by over 200 grams allowing the complete bike assembly to remain easily under the UCI weight limit (6.8 kg). A bicycle without an extra gram designed to make each ride an exciting experience an opportunity to challenge your limits.
**Contemporary Classic:** A unique design the result of extremely complex engineering refined over the years detail by detail. A timeless aesthetic capable of interpreting the contemporary. The search for the balance between lightness and stability making the most of the carefully hand-crafted carbons characteristics. The thickness of the tubes has been meticulously studied to give lightness and reactivity when climbing and stability when descending even at high speeds.
Flawless like the worlds most beautiful diamonds the Diamante has constantly been through a process of meticulous improvement; often combining innovations like invisible details aimed at the future whilst building on the legacy of over 45 years of Basso.
Leaving the starting point to go elsewhere outside your own system to explore and then come back enriched so as to evolve what you started from. A circular movement that becomes a upward spiral as it perfects itself encompassing the past and the future. The spirit of Basso flows in the tubes of the Diamante frame. A shape that is not just an aesthetic solution but the result of research to obtain the best performance from carbon.
The golden rule of Basso engineering: We meticulously study carbon to enhance its characteristics through its shape. In the areas where energy is generated and discharged - the bottom bracket and steering area - the circular shape in addition to reducing the thickness and weight of the tubes gives greater torsional rigidity so that all the pedalling energy translates into progression and riding precision. This solution allows to obtain greater lightness rigidity and control with the result of not losing power and acquiring stability.
**Geometry:** How do you redefine a classic? By obsessively working on details considering each arrival point as a new starting point. Diamante introduces improvements in the geometry that make it more performing uphill and downhill. Every good bike fit starts with choosing the correct frame size for you. This will allow you to benefit best of the bike's performance and comfort for an efficient riding position.
**Integrated Handlebar Levita:** The Diamante tip for unprecedented handling: stiff light and ergonomic. Levita redefines the concept of riding precision in a heap of technology and aesthetic purity: weighing just 330g for a 110x42
**Front Fluidity:** Integrated Cables Headset to offer efficient cable routing that gives precise and smooth steering movement even on smaller sizes
**Rear Rigidity:** High seat stays attachment to provide rigidity and direct power transfer without dispersion.
**Diamante Seatpost:** Specific seatpost with 2 different retraction options thanks to the 3B Clamp System Gen II (Pat.). A modular and totally hidden solution that is invisible on the frame intertwining technological and aesthetic innovation.

When will my order arrive? (excluding Bikes)
Just above the 'Add to basket' button you will see the item availability. We have 3 different availability stock flags on our website which will determine how long an order will take to arrive.
In Stock in Kircaldy Shop
This means that we physically have the item in the shop. If you choose one of our Priority Delivery options then you can expect your order within 1 to 3 working days. If you choose a Non Priority Delivery service you can expect your order within 3 to 5 working days.
In Stock at Supplier
Our stock system is linked in with our suppliers stock system which allows us to offer a wider product range, but does increase the delivery times a little. If you choose one of our Priority Delivery options you can expect the order within 3 to 5 working days. If you choose Non Priority Delivery you can expect the order within 5 to 10 working days, although this is completely determined by the speed of the item coming from our supplier.
Out of Stock
This means that both ourselves and our suppliers are out of stock of the item. Although the website won't allow you to order something with this stock flag you are more than welcome to contact us with the Product ID. We may be able to back order it for you, or at least see if we can provide an estimated restocking date.
If you need an order quicker than this please email us with the product ID to find out if this is possible to avoid disappointment.
What about bikes?
We aim to dispatch all bikes within 5 working days, but during busy periods we may have a few builds in the queue and could take a bit longer. If this is a concern or you need the bike before a certain date then please email us to make sure we can achieve this and avoid any disappointment. We will email you the day of dispatch and you can expect the bike the following day. If you provide a mobile number on your order the courier will also send you a text message 1 hour before delivery so you know exactly what time to expect it.
Who do you use to send orders?
We use Royal Mail for most of your orders unless they are bulky or valuable, in which case we will send the order using DPD. You can also specify DPD at checkout if you prefer to have your item delivered with an hours notice in the form of email or text from the courier.
