This is especially true with your wheels which play a critical role in the overall ride experience. That's where the new Crossmax XL comes in. It represents the highest quality aluminum trail wheel we've ever built.

The rims are made with our patented Fore technology which features a fully sealed upper bridge that eliminates the need for rim tape. That saves 30 grams per wheel and does away with the hassle of using tape to set up tubeless tyres. The rim has a 30mm internal width perfect for optimizing the performance of any modern trail tyre. It's engineered with a super strong triangular shape designed specifically to absorb impacts from the trail. Our Black Shield technology gives them a distinctive finish that protects against scratches and abrasions.

We use 24 straight-pull spokes to further dial in the sweet spot between lateral stiffness and vertical compliance. The Infinity hubs feature a stiffer and lighter construction that's enhanced by the ultra-reliable ID360 double ratchet system for fast engagement. The wheelset is set up for 6-bolt or center lock disc mounts and is compatible with Shimano HG9 SRAM XD and Micro Spline freewheel bodies. It's available in either 27.5"? or 29"? and ships with UST tubeless valves spare spokes and accessories.

**ISM Light Rim Technology**

Inter Spoke Milling (ISM) is an exclusive Mavic patented concept. It eliminates all the excess material where it's not needed. Using a patented machining process Mavic are able to vary the thickness of aluminium rims. In this way the profile is lightened between each (thinner) spoke exactly where the mechanical stresses are lowest providing a 15% lighter rim without compromising on reliability.

**Fore Tapeless Tubeless Technology**

Stiffer and Stronger. Instead of being drilled the lower rim bridge is pushed up on the inside then threaded to enable the spoke nipples to be directly screwed into it leaving the upper rim bridge intact.

**Infinity hub design**

Efficient power transfer thanks to optimised non-contact spoke lacing (no noise under load) and tension distribution. The length of the spokes at the front and rear is identical. Maintenance is easy thanks to a tool-free solution.

**QRM Auto Bearing Preload Technology**

Qualite de Roulements Mavic Auto. Cartridge bearings double sealed with e3 internal clearance. Preload is automatically adjusted to guarantee a perfect spin with no play on the long run.

Just above the 'Add to basket' button you will see the item availability. We have 3 different availability stock flags on our website which will determine how long an order will take to arrive.

This means that we physically have the item in the shop. If you choose one of our Priority Delivery options then you can expect your order within 1 to 3 working days. If you choose a Non Priority Delivery service you can expect your order within 3 to 5 working days.

In Stock at Supplier
Our stock system is linked in with our suppliers stock system which allows us to offer a wider product range, but does increase the delivery times a little. If you choose one of our Priority Delivery options you can expect the order within 3 to 5 working days. If you choose Non Priority Delivery you can expect the order within 5 to 10 working days, although this is completely determined by the speed of the item coming from our supplier.

Out of Stock
This means that both ourselves and our suppliers are out of stock of the item. Although the website won't allow you to order something with this stock flag you are more than welcome to contact us with the Product ID. We may be able to back order it for you, or at least see if we can provide an estimated restocking date.

What about bikes?

We aim to dispatch all bikes within 5 working days, but during busy periods we may have a few builds in the queue and could take a bit longer. If this is a concern or you need the bike before a certain date then please email us to make sure we can achieve this and avoid any disappointment. We will email you the day of dispatch and you can expect the bike the following day. If you provide a mobile number on your order the courier will also send you a text message 1 hour before delivery so you know exactly what time to expect it.

Who do you use to send orders?

We use Royal Mail for most of your orders unless they are bulky or valuable, in which case we will send the order using DPD. You can also specify DPD at checkout if you prefer to have your item delivered with an hours notice in the form of email or text from the courier.
